Characteristics and peculiarities

Backgrounds of this model
- The Rolls-Royce Silver Spur Touring Limousine is the successor of the Rolls-Royce Silver Spur III Touring Limousine. It is a Rolls-Royce Silver Spur (model year 1996) that was lengthened by 24 inch. The car was stretched and constructed by Mulliner Park Ward.
- The car is also called "Mulliner Park Ward Silver Spur Limousine".
- In model year 1996 the model was succeeded by the Park Ward Limousine.

General characteristics
- Modifications to the bumpers, grille, Flying lady and facia similar to the model year 1996 Silver Spur.
- New distinctively designed 16 inch wheels with a unique centre plaque emphasizing the MPW association.
- No electrical adjustment of the steering wheel (exception).
- Sports-style seats.
- More refined entertainment system than in other models with a radio, compact disc player, cassette player in the front compartment and a full suite to the rear which included a video player, TV monitor, and 40 Watt amplifiers.

Production and chassis numbers

Identification of the model in the chassis number
The chassis number of a Silver Spur Touring Limousine has:
- the letter A on the third position
- the letter W on the fifth position
- a number between 80201 and 80253.

Further details about the production and the chassis numbers
- The chassis numbers in the years 1990 up to and including 2003 are assigned in separate series per model type (often per model year as well) or in separate series per model. A model type stands for e.g. the standard saloon models (Silver Spirit, Brooklands), the long wheelbase models (Silver Spur, Bentley LWB), the 2-door coupé models (Continental R, Continental T, et cetera).
- This model got a separate series of numbers that was not shared with other models.

Series of numbers and unused numbers
- The numbers 80205, 80207, 80208 and 80210 belong to a Park Ward Limousine.
- The numbers 80245 and 80253 are called "Rolls-Royce Silver Spur Park Ward (Limousine)" by the factory, but in the chassis number they have the identification of a Silver Spur Touring Limousine. On this website they are counted as a Silver Spur Touring Limousine.
